Our hotel is situtated next to such important monuments in the history of Ronda as the  XIII century Arab Baths, The Palace of the Marquis of Salvatierra, The Moorish King´s house and the Old Bridge (XVII century). It is located in a privileged spot amongst the monumental town of Ronda with its XVI century walls and the countryside and the horses of the Royal Cavalry school Real Maestranza de Caballería. Our house is located in one of the ancient areas of Ronda, at the original entrance to the town over the Roman bridge, that became the Arab bridge; the old Jewish quarter; beautiful views of the walled city and the Arab baths from the XIII century as neighbours. Alavera de Los Baños was conceived as a “large house”, with the one and the same entrance and exit, a small reception which doubles as a bar and a central hall being the heart of the house. An original bridge structure gives access to the upstairs bedrooms. This bridge marks the over all character of our house. On entering our house the guest has the impression of entering a fairy tale house. The orangey red colour of its walls is reminiscent of the walls in Marrakech; the bare brickwork that supports the walkway, the antique copper lamps brought back from one of our journeys, from Essaouira; the outstanding paintings by our friend Tampini; the Arabic tapestries that hang down from the tall walls. As a background, the lush green and the Majorelle blue of our garden under the constant cadence of falling water.
